Purpose
The PM9102 Automatic Irradiation Calibration System is designed to reproduce and transmit:
· air kerma and kerma rate units,
· exposure dose and exposure dose rate,
· ambient dose equivalent and ambient dose equivalent rate,
· individual dose equivalent and individual dose equivalent rate during verification, calibration and testing of gamma radiation dosimeters and dose rate meters.

Features
· The PM9102 can use one gamma radiation source 137Cs with a maximum activity of up to 20 Ci.
· The system provides a continuous DER range from 0.5 µSv/h to 450 mSv/h.
· The 137Cs source has a low cost due to its low activity (up to 20 Ci) and is always available to order
· only one source is used, which significantly reduces the cost
· Low source activity not only means low cost, but also simplifies obtaining a license to operate the source
· Low cost of the unit itself
· Simple and quick installation
· The unit can be easily and quickly disassembled into its component parts.
· Low requirements for the size of the working chamber and radiation shielding.
· Low cost of shipping the source in a small shipping container
Design
The PM9102 Automatic Irradiation Calibration System is based on the usage of the sealed 137Cs radionuclide gamma source with a maximum activity of up to 20 Ci (type determined by customer specifications).
The unit utilizes an irradiation system with a fixed irradiator and a linear positioning system of the operating table (LPS).
The unit provides continuous radiation in a specified range of gamma radiation dose rates by using a single source, two attenuators, and variable distance from the source to the detector of the instrument being tested.
The operator controls the selection of attenuators, opening the irradiator collimator shutter, and positioning the device under test in the radiation beam remotely from the control panel or a virtual control panel on a PC.
The unit is equipped with a laser alignment system for the device under test on the operating table.
A video surveillance system monitors the instrument readings on the operating table (optionally, the monitoring of the operating table position using a tape measure).
The source, loaded into the irradiator plug, is transported in a standard transport container (specified at the design stage).
Sources are transferred from the transport container to the irradiator's collimation device without using a transfer container directly into the irradiator.
The unit is dismountable and consists of four main parts: a bearing assembly with guide rails, a platform with an operating table, an irradiator frame, and a collimation device.
The control station is located at the frame of the irradiator, beneath the collimator.
The supporting frame is equipped with height-adjustable supports.
The vertical control of the operating table is provided by an electric drive.
The LPS platform is equipped with Ethernet, USB, RS485 sockets, and a 230 V power supply.
